What This Site Is

There is no single reliable plain-language resource. This site is that resource.

Every page on this site must meet the following bar before publication:

Specific, answerable question: Each page addresses one real search query that real people are typing into Google. We do not publish pages that exist only to fill a site map.
Primary source verification: Code provisions are cited to the specific IRC or IMC section number. We do not rely on secondary interpretations without verifying against the source text.
Unique detail: Every article must contain at least one piece of specific procedural, dimensional, or regulatory detail not present in the current top Google results for its target query.
Honest scope limits: Where information is jurisdiction-specific or uncertain, we say so explicitly and direct readers to their local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).
No padding: We write to the question, not to a word count. A 650-word page that fully answers a question is better than a 1,400-word page that repeats itself.

How We Handle Corrections

Code requirements change. Products are discontinued. We make mistakes. When an error is identified — whether by a reader, by a code update, or by our own review — we correct it as a priority and update the page's publication date.
